Shipping & Returns:
RiverTrail offers Free Shipping on all Domestic Orders. Please note, if free shipping is selected at checkout, Rivertrail will utilize the most cost effective method (United States Postal Service or UPS), with an estimated delivery within 7 - 10 business days. Do you need your order faster or prefer a specific carrier? Fret not! Quotes will be provided at check out for expedited and guaranteed services (these fees are non-refundable). International shipping (important details below) is available, quotes will be provided at checkout. Products are shipped Monday - Friday. Order confirmations and tracking information will be emailed within 24 hours. During high volume sale periods and Holidays, order processing may take between 5-7 business days.

Pre-Orders:
If the style and size shows "pre-order" options, this means the item is not in stock, but on order. Example: Size 7 – Pre-Order : Ships 3-5 months, means that the item has been submitted to the manufacturer for production. Once the order is placed, your credit card is charged immediately. Unfortunately, paying for expedited shipping will NOT speed up production. If you'd like a more definitive ship date, please email us with the style and size you are interested in! Depending on where the style is in the production process, we should be able to provide a more solid delivery date. Please reach out if your favorite design is sold out - we may be able to restock!
Drop Ships:
If the style and size shows "Ships 7 - 14 Days", this means the item is not in stock in our warehouse, but available to be shipped directly from the manufacturer. Once the order is placed, your credit card is charged immediately. Unfortunately, paying for expedited shipping will NOT speed up the drop ship process. After placing a drop ship order, your order status will change to "Awaiting Shipment," which means the manufacturer has confirmed receipt of the drop ship. Once the manufacturer has fulfilled the order, you will receive an email with the tracking information.
Returns & Exchanges:
Returns and Exchanges must be received within 30 days. If you are purchasing a gift (ie Christmas / Birthday), please request an extension in the Order Comment Section, and a RiverTrail Employee will approve the request. The return period spans from the day product is received by customer until the day RiverTrail receives product back in store.
Products must be returned in their new and unworn condition with the corresponding boot box and outer box packaging. Product must have original tags and must not have been worn, laundered, or altered from its original condition. If you are unable to access your Rivertrail account with the steps below, please reach out via email for return approval and instructions.
To Return/Exchange an item, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account. Using the “Orders” tab in the left hand column, click the Order # you wish to Return, then click "Request Return".
- Please fill out all fields as to whether you are returning for refund, store credit, or exchange. If opting for exchange, please note the item number, name, and size of the product you wish to receive under the “Comments” section.
- Package item into original packaging (by placing the manufacturer boot box into a separate shipping box). Please include a copy of original invoice so we may better reference your return.
- The RiverTrail Returns Department will approve (or deny based on the terms and conditions of your purchase) your return request within 1-3 business days, and you will receive an email attachment with a Prepaid Shipping Return Label to print (applicable to domestic orders only on non discounted merchandise). ***Again, $15 (per item) will be deducted from your refund to cover the cost of the return shipping label.***

Please allow 1-2 business days for return processing, and another 3-5 business days for refund transactions to settle. An email confirmation is sent once refunds are processed. Requests for online store credit are issued within 1-2 business days. Exchanges (if in stock) usually ship the day after receipt of return.
In the case of refused or unclaimed shipments sent back to RiverTrail, freight back out will be at the customer’s expense.
Please note that any shipping service charges incurred outside of our "Free Shipping" option (2nd Day Air, Next Day Air, International, etc.) are not eligible for refund. Only product charges are eligible for refund.

Modified Return Policy:
If you return more than $1,000 worth of product in a 6 month period, you will be subject to a modified return policy. We will contact you if you are subject to the modified policy, which will include shipping charges and a restocking fee.
International Shipping:
RiverTrail provides international shipping. Quotes are given at check out based on product weight and destination. Please contact us by email (shipping@rivertrailmercantile.com) to request shipment to countries not currently available through our shipping system. All import taxes, including VAT, import duties, etc. are paid for by the customer. Rivertrail has no control over the additional fees that may be due upon delivery.
We strive to keep the latest, most exclusive boot styles in stock. In addition, many of the boot styles we carry are hand made to order. We urge customers to email us with any questions before ordering to ensure that sizing and styles will be satisfactory. For returns and exchanges, RiverTrail will be happy to assist with questions concerning styles, fit, etc. in an effort to find customers a product from our website they will be completely satisfied with.
