I Love the shorter version - I have the same ones taller in Brass color and I Love those too! SO COLORFUL! They are not DARK black - more grayish/black - BUT STILL FABULOUS! OLD GRINGO are my favorite boots - so any version of their boots is TERRIFIC!

Waited for a discount and have to say these are absolutely gorgeous and so glad i finally got them. The details are spectacular!

I finally found these boots in my size. They are everything they claim to be. I sized up but I won't do that again. They are true to size.
They are stunning to look at and quite comfortable. This is my first Old Gringo boot purchase and it won't be my last.
Old Gringo Sora Short Boot
From the beautiful embroidery to the quality leather these boots are a work of art. I am an Australian size 8.5 and I got these in a US 9 and they fit perfectly. The staff at Rivertrail Mercantile are very helpful and my boots arrived so fast. I will definately be back for more!
Pretty nice
I love them. They are very difficult to pull on, but once on very comfortable. I hope a little breaking in will help. I did not care for the white streaked heel and sole, but I solved that issue. I just love the embroidery.

"Old Gringo Sora Vesuvio Black: Unique and Astonishing Boots"
I ordered the Sora Vesuvio boots because I was searching for black boots that were of high quality and distinguishable. The Sora boots exceeded my
expectations; not only superior in quality leather but, the colorful design makes an unforgettable statement. However, these boots were not designed for individuals with high insteps. I was unable to get my foot into the shoe even though I ordered them one-half size larger than all of my my other Old Gringo boots. Because of the small openings in the boots I rated them a 4 rather than the 5 that I would have chosen.
The manufacturer of the "Sora" boots should consider producing an optional boot just for folk with high instep problems. The number of sales would defray added expense and assure sufficient profits. In fact, this idea should be considered for all styles of Old Gringo boots because high insteps have not been considered in this beautiful brand of
boots. Please take notice and correct the problem
because I along with a lot of others would love to purcase this and other Old Gringo boots.

Just love these!! Get compliments on them everywhere....wear them with short dresses, skinny jeans... I have many pairs of OG's and these are perfect for any collection!
AMAZING
I absolutely love the bright colors on these boots! The first time I wore these boots after I ordered them they were comfortable. Although after more wears they become much more comfortable, I just couldn't believe I could wear them for a full day with my feet bothering me and not getting any blisters. I have now had these boots for a year and a half and I still get numerous compliments on them and they still look just as good as the day I pulled them out of the box. You can tell that great craftsmanship went into these boots as the embroidery still look flawless. Well worth the money!

Can't even tell you how great these boots are! Look terrific and feel terrific too. Every time I wear them I get lots of compliments and always asked ,"Where'd you get those boots?" Old Gringo really knows their stuff and Rivertrail Mercantile is a dream to order from.

I Love these Old Gringo Sora Black 10 inch Boots! Originally I ordered a size 8, thinking that I might need the extra room, but decided or order and keep the size 7.5. I love the look and feel of these boots! They are made so well, they will never wear out! River Trail Mercantile is a wonderful company to do business with, quick on shipping both pairs and returning one item was very simple!
Beautiful AND Comfortable
Beautiful embroidery and supple leather are absolutely show stopping. I was the envy of all my line dancing friends. True to size. They were a little tough to squeeze into at first, but stretched to fit like a glove after one day on my feet. LOVE them! As others have mentioned, leather is distressed...great contrast to the vibrant embroidery. RiverTrail Mercantile provided great customer service, even changing the shipping address for me after I had completed my order. A+

I read all the reviews I could find on this boot, on this site and more. I was concerned since I have high arches that I wouldn't be able to get these on my foot, but no troubles! I do have to pull a little bit, but these go on nicely. I bought true to size (8), and these fit great either with a thin sock (which helps slide them on, too). The fit on the width is snug (but not uncomfortable), but I expect the leather to stretch and mold.
The black leather is more distressed than the picture shows. The embroidery is vibrant and gorgeous. I expect to wear them everywhere ... shorts/dresses/skinny jeans/boot cut jeans. Awesome.

I just got them today - quick shipping. I absolutely love them, and have been wearing them around my house. I usually wear between a 9 and a 9.5. I went with the 9.5 as I have a wider foot, and a higher arch. Glad I did. I initially had some difficulty getting my foot into them, but they stretch and adjust very quickly to mold/conform to my foot. They are stunning - it's like wearing a piece of artwork

WOW! I own many Old Gringo Boots, and these are my favorite. They are so beautiful! They match every t-shirt and sweater I have! Very comfortable and I love how easy they are to step into because they are short...I a enjoying these beauties!!! BTW...shipping was so fast!
