I have wanted these boots in red for ages, then learned they were discontinued, so decided I better get these. OMG they are even better than i expected, as usual fabulous OG style, i have MANY, fit perfect as expected. DONT WAIT GET THEM..

Stunning show stoppers!
These boots sizzle with style! The snake design is badass and subtly dangerous. The black and copper combo goes with just about any outfit. They fit perfectly and were comfortable right out of the box.
There was a significant delay in shipping, but the Rivertrail staff stayed in contact with me and were gracious about the issue. And these fabulous boots are worth the wait!!!

Old Gringo Snake Boots
I took the plunge and bought the boots. Very glad that I did! I'll agree that the snake's red tongue is not as red as the photos indicate, so the contrast is not as sharp. The color is more of a cranberry.
The first night I wore them was to an art opening at a gallery; perfect place for their first soulful strut. I received many compliments, keeping in mind that these people were supposed to be looking up at the paintings, not down at my boots!! They are beautiful and these boots fit very well -
and I've had four surgeries on my right foot, making it difficult to find a good fit. Love the snip-toe style.

Love these boots!
Great fit! I wore them all day when I received them with no boot stretch needed. The color is not quite as vibrant as the photo but they are still very cool.
OLD GRINGO SNAKE BOOT
GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS!!! Expensive yes...but worth every penny. I have purchased a few Old Gringo boots and they have all been beautiful. The craftsmanship and details are impeccable.....Absolutely love these boots!!!

I have been dying to get these boots for over a year now and they are even more gorgeous in person!! The Rivertrail team was also amazing with helping me get these bad boys. They are VERY helpful and willing to go the extra mile. I will be buying more boots from them!
Another great pair of Old Gringos
I've had my eye on these snake boots for a couple of years, but didn't buy them. I thought they might be a bit much with the studs, and wasn't sure they would be versatile enough, so it took a sale to convince me to get them. Well, I was wrong to wait.They go with and complement a number of outfits, and are comfortable to dance in. They fit beautifully right out of the box and are a great addition to my Old Gringo collection. I buy all my Old Gringos from Rivertrail Merchantile and have never been disappointed with quality or service.

Oh, my goodness! These boots are fabulous!! I've been looking at them for almost 3 years, so when RTM offered a 30% sale, I knew it was finally time to buy the Snakes! They arrived today and when we opened the box, all my husband and I could say was WOW!! Typical of Old Gringo, the fit (size 6), stitching, embroidery, design, details, studs, color - all perfection! They are certainly showstoppers and a showpiece in my OG collection! And, typical of Rivertrail Mercantile, the selection, service, and sales are the best!

Best Boot Ever!
These boots are gorgeous. I'm a teacher with snakes in my science classroom and get so many compliments on them. They fit beautifully and where totally worth the wait when they were on back order.
My all time fav boot!
Love these boots. I've had them for about a month now. I wear them out every chance I get. I always get compliments on them! I recomend you buy your true shoe size or even a half size smaller if you are concerned. These boots are cut pretty roomy. I would have considered returning for a smaller size but I waited over a month on the pre order list and I couldn't even consider giving them back.
That being said, even though I had to wait for the pre order. RT shipped them as soon as they got them. They arrived supper fast. If I even remember correctly RT got them to me before the estimated pre order date. Great service! Love RT would recomend to everyone!
Back to the boots... So beautiful the snake tongue was a deep red as apposed to some of the pictures I have seen. Still very beautiful. The studs are very nice and don't look cheap like some other brands. They seem very sturdy. I'm not worried about knocking one off. Even though these are the most amazing boots I have, I don't feel like I have to baby them. They are good quality leather, well made.
Spectacular boots!
Just as beautiful as the pictures. My dancing friends were very jealous! The sizing is true, maybe a little bigger in the shaft (upper leg portion) than I would like. A few more hours of dancing & these will be extremely comfortable and should last a lifetime.

The detail and coloring on these boots are exceptional!!! They were easy to put on and I found them quite comfortable the first day I wore them. None of my old gringo boots have hurt my feet and I always break them in on a 9 hour work day. If you are thinking about these - just buy them!!!

Just wanted to note that after wearing them several times, I do think the shaft of this style is roomier than the other ones I have. I don't find it to be a problem, and I wouldn't say my calves are big at all. I tried on all my Old Gringo boots and the Nevada had the slimmest shaft. I would like to say again how WONDERFUL Rivertrail Mercantile is! They have the BEST service, ship EXTREMELY fast, and are REALLY nice! SUPER BONUS is that they actually carry IN STOCK (which is a huge deal with Old Gringo) size 10.5. Usually you have to wait a month or two to get that size from OG. Rivertrail Mercantile is my first place to look for boots now. :)
Amazing boots! Style and craftsmanship.
I own four pairs of Old Gringo boots now, and these are the most fabulous! I always complain in my reviews that Old Gringo does NOT pad the insoles at all, but despite that I still had to give this 5 stars. The studs, stitching, and detail are awesome. These are by far the best pair I own. I would have liked to get a 10.5 so I have room for an insole, but I couldn't pass up the sale (YAY!) so I ended up with a 10. I feel that if you want a padded insole, you need to go up a half size to allow this with all Old Gringo boots. I don't think the calf in this boot is any different than my other Old Gringos. I have the Tyler boot, 10 inch Sora, Nevada, and this pair. You won't regret investing in this pair.
Snake boot
Beautiful boot but horrible fit in the leg. The measurements on line were 13 1/2" for calf, it was an inch bigger which is huge. Loved the look of the boot but did not fit like my other Old Gringo's. :(
My Favorite Pair Yet!!
I am an Old Gringo addict. There is no other explanation for my complete lack of will power when I come across a pair of boots and despite my best intentions of merely browsing, my finger inevitably clicks on that "place order" button. I am a Texan, so it's not hard to find cowgirl boots right here in my own backyard. I can easily withstand temptation if we're talking about a pair that is very common, and I've seen them time and again both on the boot shelves and on feet at my favorite dance hall. I already owned 3 pairs of Old Gringo boots when I found these Snake boots. I couldn't resist, and I do not regret it! This company has superior customer service, they are friendly and go above and beyond for you even if an issue has arisen that was out of their control. These boots? Gorgeous. Truly unique. I have only worn them one time, and they did not hurt my feet at all. The toe is just right, not too square and not too round. I wear them with dark jeans and a very simple black shirt, minimal accessories, because the boots are the star of the show and you want people to notice them! Once again Old Gringo has met my (very)high expectations.
Fabulous Find!!!
I've been looking for a cowboy boot for some time now. Nothing out there really caught my eye. That is until I found this boot... The Old Gringo Black Snake Boot!!!! It's beautiful!!! It feels great and is a little wider in the calf than other old gringo boots I've tried. It looks great with just about any outfit. Heads definitely turn when I wear this boot. Also, the service from River Trail Mercantile is outstanding. You won't be disappointed.
Beautiful Boot!
I love them, the pic does not do these boots justice.. I have about 25 boots,mostly old gringo. But, these are now one of my best, because as soon as I got them I found them easy to wear, and that makes them a winner in my book.
The color, brown or black, the tongue of the snake is very dark blood red, not bright at all, and I really love that.
The size, as normal I stick to my size, old gringo is reliable in size ( except in the aspect of narrow, medium vs wide width ) but, once you know your size, your good. The width in this is a bit roomier, so thick socks are a must for me.Nevertheless I love them.
Old Gringo Black Snake Boot
